cubic zirconiaIf I were a man getting ready to pop the question to my girlfriend I would have to be flat broke before I would consider presenting her with a cubic zirconia ring. I agree with the contributor who said he was unable to tell the difference between cubic zirconia and diamonds. Cubic zirconia is just as hard and every bit as durable as a diamond and some people think that it has even more sparkle. However I would not like to admit to my fiancé-to-be that her ring was made out of cubic zirconia incase she was disappointed not to receive real diamonds. If I did not tell her the ring was cubic zirconia then she might have it evaluated at a jewelers and find out that it did not have real diamonds. That’s why I would definitely choose diamonds for an engagement ring if I was able to afford it. However I have purchased cubic zirconia jewelry gifts for female friends and relatives. My mother has a wonderful cubic zirconia bracelet and necklace to match, both of which were gifts from me. I have also bought various items of cubic zirconia jewelry for myself because it looks great and nobody can tell it’s not diamonds just by looking. Cubic zirconia jewelry is great; I just wouldn’t buy an engagement ring made out of it.
