I got an announcement card in the mail yesterday that told me that my younger brother, Douglas, had eloped to Barbados and that he and his fiancé had tied the knot on the beach. I was literally in shock, because I had always thought that they were going to sport the traditional wedding. However, after learning they went on the dream vacation and got married on the beach, I called up my brother to congratulate him. I asked him how he could afford to do this and he told me he had two choices: get her a real rock for her ring or opt for a Cubic Zirconia. He chose the latter and got her a Cubic Zirconia, and that was how he was able to pocket enough money in online savings to book a great trip to Barbados. He had even talked to her about it beforehand, telling her what their options were. He told me that she was the one that chose a Cubic Zirconia, because her dream vacation and wedding was in Barbados. I can’t wait to get some pictures of this secretive event; he has promised me he will be sending them over soon!
