I am a woman and I personally don’t recommend buying a cubic zirconia engagement ring. Cubic zirconia looks very much like real diamonds but if a man’s significant other decides to have the gem evaluated professionally and finds out it is not the genuine article it could get him into trouble.
I would not recommend giving a cubic zirconia engagement ring. However I do think cubic zirconia jewelry can make a great gift. Cubic zirconia costs much less than diamonds but it has even more fire, sparkle and brilliance. What’s more cubic zirconia is almost as durable as the real thing and it comes in a variety of colors.
I gave my mother a cubic zirconia journey pendant and a tennis bracelet and she loves both pieces. I have seen her wearing both of these items of cubic zirconia jewelry and they look very elegant and classy. My mother knows that the cubic zirconia jewelry I gave her does not contain real diamonds but that doesn’t bother her in the slightest. You see if the jewelry contained real diamonds my mother would be afraid to wear it for fear of loss or damage.
