Cubic Zirconia Fools Even the Sharpest Eye |

I am not a jeweler but if you put a real diamond encrusted ring next to one with Cubic Zirconia stones there’s no way I could tell the difference. I have heard people say that Cubic Zirconia is just a cheap excuse to wear diamond jewelry but I couldn’t disagree more. If it smells like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. I equate that phrase to Cubic Zirconia jewelry. I understand a person who buys jewelry as an investment wouldn’t want fake diamonds but if the piece is just an accessory then why break the bank?
My girlfriend told me a story about a little diamond ring she got as a present as a little girl from her parents. It meant the world to her. After she slid that ring onto her finger, it never came off. She adored how it sparkled in the light and shimmered against her hand. Diamonds must really be a girl’s best friend. About a year ago, she said somehow the ring got brought up into conversation with her dad. I think she asked him if she should insure it. He smiled and said, “Sweetie, its Cubic Zirconia, don’t worry about it.” Taken aback for a second, I can imagine her looking down at the ring, never knowing the difference until that moment and saying, “Huh, fooled me.” She still wears that ring everyday for its sentimental value.
