I had always considered cedarwood to be a base note in men's cologne and women’s fragrance perfume but it actually has several uses. Cedarwood used as a hair care product can help improve the condition of the scalp. It can also help reduce hair loss. However cedarwood is not just used to treat the scalp and hair. It purportedly helps with conditions such as respiratory problems, acne, ulcers and arthritis. Cedarwood has a strong aromatic smell. Therefore it can be blended with other essential oils to create perfume at home too.
